Chandelier

We came across a few 'simple yet presentable' chandelier the other day when Ying came for biz call. I like the one with interchangable colors coz I think it can brighten up the entire living hall with its sequential color changes as if they were dancing in the air. Most importantly, the prices are within reasonable range and no harm for 1st trial though.

Ying's new apartment

Finally, Ying has got the keys to her dream home!!! She took me to view her new 'home to be', and surprisingly I found it not as terrible as she had described it to me over the phone. Ching said only brainys can interpret the photos that I took. Well Ching, I have no choice due to the limited space for me to take the entire view of her home... haha.
I strongly convinced Ying that after a few simple cosmetic tricks, she'll turn her pigeon hole into a spacious and envious modern classed apartment

My mom..my lifetime treasure

Here is my mom.. the greatest mom in the entire universe. She is an angel sent from God to protect five of her precious daughters and mind you.. her mission has no expiry date at all. My mom did not complete her secondary school, but this never stops her from inspiring her own children on the importance of education. To date, she is 62 years old and still carries the workalcholic habit with her, and she runs her very own business at such an age!! As I grow older, I gradually feel how much I had owed her all these years. She loves us unconditionally, ever ready to sacrifice herself physically or mentally for her beloved children. Mom, I love you and will always remember what you have taught us. You will always be the treasure my heart :)

Literally I spent my childhood in uncle's kopitiam which was the only leftbehind from my grandparents every since they passed away. As mom had to work all day long, she had no choice but to let her children stayed in the kopitiam, played hide and seek at the back alley and got bruises all over the bodies after a long day spent chasing each others. We did everything in our kopitiam, from doing school homeworks to having dinner. In fact, kopitiam is more of a home to us rather than just a coffee shop. I have had a battling love-hate relationship with this kopitiam from the day I learn my ABC till today. If it wasn't for the kopitiam, I would not have been able to pour out my hearts here in this blog, for it was the main breadwinner that feeds all of us for as long as I could remember. In the other way round, I could have said if it wasn't for the kopitiam, I would have had tasted the experience of waking up late in weekends for I do not have to worry that Mom would chase after us with a ratan can for not helping out at the shop during weekends and public holidays. I longed for the feeling of our whole family enjoying a relaxing Sunday breakfast. Sadly to say, this will never happen in my family, for we (the children) are indebted to the shop and we have to trade off our precious teenage years in return of the food that kopitiam feed us. Till today, I still spend my days in the kopitiam whenever I am home for CNY or mid year vacation. I hate to say it, but I still love my kopitiam.
